Sign in to the library catalog

• Signing in to the library catalog allows you to request items, as well as view your current loans, save records you are interested in, and view your search history.
• You need to have a library card account to sign in. Virginia residents are able to register or renew online.
• Select  in the top right menu, or in the yellow box that appears in the Find it section.
  • On mobile devices, select the  to open the menu.

• Enter your library card number or the email address you used to register for your library card account and your password.
• Select  if you need to reset your password.

View Your Account

• Once you are logged in, your name will appear at the top right of the page. Select your name to view options.
  • On mobile devices, select the  in the upper right corner to view your name.

• Select Library Card to view all information pertaining to your account.
• Here you can view and renew your loans, as well as edit your personal details. 
  • Please note: once a requested item is ready for checkout at Circulation, it will no longer appear under your Requests column.

Renew Your Loans

To renew loans, you can select  on the Overview page.

To choose which loans you renew, select the item under Loans. This will show details of your loan, including the due date.

• Catalog records that you save with the  icon will appear here. 
• Search History is only retained for the current session. If you want to come back to a search later, you must save it before signing out of your session. To save searches, select the Search History tab, and select the  
  • Please Note: your search history is private, and only viewable in your own account. 
• Add labels to materials and searches to keep your research organized.
