Maps

The Library's map collection includes over 200 maps related to the Civil War. These include maps accompanying a report to the governor of Virginia; maps published in Confederate imprints; a variety of printed and manuscript maps, mostly of Virginia areas; and a small group of field maps of southwestern Virginia found in books belonging to William Wing Loring.

The majority of the Library's Civil War maps have been digitized and can be viewed at the link below. To view the map collection in person, please contact Special Collections.
